Phoenix

No, this is no metaphor for surviving change in my life.  No drama here, unless you count color and composition.  Cid and I went to the Philly Art Museum yesterday.  If you've never been, get on it!  It's reasonably priced (less than a movie), and huge.  We both walked away pretty inspired, so after a night of dinner boggle, and dance videos, we made art.  He wrote poetry, and I made this guy.

The museum was pretty great. I love history in the tactile and relic mediums. Some amazing dark lit stone ruins of ancient architecture. I also liked the armor and weapons showroom.
On another note, seeing mike in another skill area was pretty impressive. Hair tied back, paint bottles sprawled (like their owner), she was in a trance. The meditative music of old school bone thugs chanting in the background like some mantra to the heavens. We starting our endeavors late in the evening and when i started to fade 2 or three hours later she was still going strong.
Very nice piece mike.

Lovely! I especially love the style of the brushstrokes and ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY love the colors. My favorite tones! (And they stand out super well against the gray)

I would still love to have you do a piece for me :)

That's my girl! Nice bird, kiddo. But I still like the photo banner across the top of the home page best: the one angled ankle on the left holding off the three stable feet on the right. It does everything a piece of art needs to do. Like a good poem it implies more than it says. And it can be appreciate in more than one way and on more than one level. Now...how you gonna cook that bird? Deep fry?
